Wayne Kuanoni Sr., 70, of Hilo died May 23, 2018, at the Tripler Army Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Hilo, he was a retired paver operator for Yamada &Sons Inc. Construction, member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Dennis J. Andrade, 64, of Pahala, died June 30, 2018, at his residence. Born Sept. 28, 1953, in Ka‘u, he was a retired harvesting supervisor for Pahala Sugar Co. and a ranch hand and a member of Hawaii Army National Guard and Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Johanna Kehaulani Thoene, 62, of Keaau died June 3, 2018, at Hawaii Care Choices. Born in Honolulu, she was a housekeeper for Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, member of Malia Puka O Kalani Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Hawaii Air National Guard.
A celebration of her life will begin at 10 a.m. July 21 at Kaiona Beach Park in Waimanalo, Oahu. Lunch to follow. Another celebration of her life will begin at 10 a.m. July 28 at Moku Ola (Coconut Island) in Hilo. Lunch to follow. Casual attire.

Davin Keith Buyuan, 62, Pahala, died June 28 at Ka’u Hospital in Pahala. Born July 17, 1955, in Honolulu, he worked as purchasing manager for The Royal Waikoloa Hotel and was a member of the River of Life Assembly of God Church in Pahala.
